Mechanical and chemical erosion

Mechanical weathering is the process of breaking big rocks into little ones.his process usually happens near the surface of the planet. Temperature also affects the land the cool nights and hot day's cause things to expand and contract.

Chemical Weathering is what happens when rocks are broken down and chemically altered. Chemical weathering is also hydrolysis, oxidation, carbonation, acid rain and acids produced by lichens.

The Wadi Field Trip

Into the wild I jumped ready to start with my bag pack, water bottle, and my snack. Sand sparkling around like glitter filling my heart and out we start the day...

Dr. Bill was teaching all us kids how the water eroded and how acid is powerful as the weathering.
We went hiking up high as some of my friends were scared, but its okay.
Something that really inspired me is looking under rocks to look for snakes and scorpions, another thing inspired me is looking foe fossils with my friends.
All of us kids were happy to look at the view, wadi's and fossils and rocks.
we were geologists not only kids we were studying rocks and erosion.

They made us go anywhere and look around and find some fossils and before that when I finished my snack I had to go behind a rock for privacy.
I felt I was in a camp in the middle of a forest and also it was so cool looking for fossils I made new friends as I was looking for fossils, Vidit, and Shameer.

In the end of me and my new friend's adventure we had a growth mindset we were showing that by finding fossils and we also ate so yummy yummy yummy food.

Reality Experience

I saw many different things like mountains grass land water and also water falls. And what I experienced is that living with nature is not A bad thing and not to have fear because I was sitting on a chair and I was flying in the air and looking at the view in the air.

experiment four: can we control a water stream?

Hypothesis: Yes! we can control water if we build a wall as a path

Materials: Stream Table, Bucket, Ruler, Water, A stand, Sand mixture

Procedure: first we set up the project
second we set up the sand half of the stream table
third we put a bucket on a ruler and the ruler was across the stream table
fourth we poured the water in the bucket that was on top of the ruler  and there was a whole that brought down and made a canyon and made a puddle
fifth we water till the water would fall in the bucket that was on the floor

Observation: we made a canyon and made a puddle
we water till the water would fall in the bucket that was on the floor

Conclusion: We failed because we did not use a strong wall to not break as the cubes did

Experiment One: Water Erosion

                                                           Question:
What happens to land when water flows over it.

Hypothesis: I think that when the water flows over it makes a deep valley and it also construct a little tower.

Conclusion: It made a puddle when the water went down and it mad a very deep whole before it makes  A canyon.

Experiment: two

Question:Experiment two: Deposition

Hypothesis:I think that it's going to make a puddle and it will form a circle and the sand will continue straight.

Materials:Stream Table, Bucket, Ruler, Water, A stand, Sand mixture

Procedure:

first we set up the project
second we set up the sand half of the stream table
third we put a bucket on a ruler and the ruler was across the stream table
fourth we poured the water in the bucket that was on top of the ruler  and there was a whole that brought down and made a canyon and made a puddle
fifth we water till the water would fall in the bucket that was on the floor

Observation: we made a canyon and made a puddle
we water till the water would fall in the bucket that was on the floor

Conclusion: It made a puddle when the water went down and it mad a very deep whole before it makes  A canyon.

Expierement three flood

Hypothesis: I think its going to make a deeper whole. The water that is falling from the hill and its dark it is clay.

Material:Stream Table, Bucket, Ruler, Water, A stand, Sand mixture

Procedure:first we set up the project
second we set up the sand half of the stream table
third we put a bucket on a ruler and the ruler was across the stream table
fourth we poured the water in the bucket that was on top of the ruler  and there was a whole that brought down and made a canyon and made a puddle
fifth we water till the water would fall in the bucket that was on the floor

Observation:we made a canyon and made a puddle
we water till the water would fall in the bucket that was on the floor as it went down and brought the sand with it

Conclusion:It made a puddle when the water went down and it mad a very deep whole before it makes  A canyon.

APL QUOTE:Don't raise your voice

What I think of not raising our voices when we speak is because when you say it calmly first its respectful and second its more clear to them to make them understand third nothing is rushing you and fourth he will not do it as you speak slowly the more he will get what to do and understand your meaning of doing.
